Carrier vessel transit
When vehicles ship overseas from manufacturing plants, carrier ships carry thousands of orders across the ocean. Ship tracking is an optional Pro feature in BETA that lets you follow a linked carrier vessel on a live map.
Understand what VIN assignment and vessel tracking mean in your Tesla delivery timeline. Helpful context and tracking aids, not a promise of which ship or VIN Tesla assigned.
Check whether active ocean carrier vessels match your vehicle serial number. Ocean transit tracking is a community aid in BETA, not Tesla's official confirmation.

Tesla assigns a Vehicle Identification Number when a specific car is matched to your reservation. Your VIN can appear in your raw order details before it shows on the main Tesla app screen.

Vessel coordinates and detected VINs are helpful tracking aids to keep your wait in perspective. They are never Tesla's confirmation of which ship or VIN has been assigned to your order.
Free & Pro
Your free wait tracking includes your assigned VIN when available, estimated delivery date history, the free delivery checklist, and community context, giving you more than Tesla's current-status screen. Pro is a $9.99 / €9,99 one-time thank-you upgrade that adds ship tracking (BETA), push alerts when details update, Home Screen widgets, and detailed change history.
